Acceptance of Terms:
By using the Forest Safety Council’s (the Council) Web Site to access and use the Content, you acknowledge and agree that you have fully read, and agree to be bound by, the provisions of these Terms of Use, exactly as if they were printed on paper and signed by you. If you do not agree to be bound by these Terms of Use in their entirety, or do not agree with any later modified Terms of Use, then you must immediately stop using the Council’s Web Site. If you access or use the Content in the course of your employment or business, you enter into these Terms of Use both on your own behalf and in your individual capacity as an employee, officer, agent, partner, etc. of such organization that you represent, and references in these Terms of Use to "you" shall mean both you as the individual user of the Council’s Web Site and you in your capacity as a representative of your organization.

Payment Terms
Payment is due by credit card. Once an order is placed by credit card, the credit card account will be verified at the time the order is placed. Should a credit card be declined, so will be the order. Orders are processed ONLY upon receipt of payment.

Disclaimer of Warranty
When products are shipped to you, their limited warranties applicable to products are in effect and are included with the shipment. Certain products may have additional warranties provided by the original manufacturer but not by us. On our web site, "as is" products may not have warranties from us (other than those warranties implied by and incapable of exclusion, restriction or modification under applicable law), but may still hold warranties from the manufacturer.

Shipping and Handling Charges and Taxes
The buyer is responsible for any taxes or tariffs associated with your purchase.

Prices
Prices shown on our site do not include shipping and handling. Neither do the prices include taxes unless otherwise noted. All prices are in Canadian dollars. The price charged for an order will be the price in effect at the time the order is made.

Shipping & Risks during Shipping
When products are shipped to you by common carrier, our liability to you for breakage and/or non-delivery of the products by the common carrier to you will be limited by the limits of liability provided by the common carrier's terms and conditions of carriage. You may wish to purchase insurance from loss or breakage during carriage for full insurable value of the products you have ordered by making the appropriate requests when placing your order with us

Doing Business on the Internet:
You acknowledge and agree that electronic communications and databases are subject to errors, tampering and break-ins and that, notwithstanding the efforts of the Council to implement reasonable security precautions, the Council does not guarantee or warrant that such events will not take place. You agree to follow all access and security procedures provided from time to time by the Council, and you will not attempt, nor will you aid or abet any other person in any attempt, to circumvent or otherwise interfere in any way with any security precautions or measures of the Council. While every effort has been made to keep the information from the Council current and accurate, this is not an official version and should not be relied on as such. The format, updates and other features such as pop-up definitions and linkages, have been added by the Council to enhance access to and understanding of the information.

No Unlawful or Prohibited Use:
As a condition of your use of this Web Site, you will not use the Content or access the Council’s Web Site for any purpose that is harmful, abusive, derogatory, defamatory, in violation of any confidentiality obligation, invasive of any third party's rights, unlawful, disruptive to the Council’s Web Site, or otherwise prohibited by these terms, conditions, and notices. You may not obtain or attempt to obtain any materials or information through any means not intentionally made available through the Web Site. The Council reserves the right to terminate your use of this Council Web Site, in its sole discretion, with or without notice, if the Council reasonably believes that your conduct fails to conform to these Terms of Use.

Links on this Web Site will let you leave the Council’s Web Site. Such links are provided solely as pointers to services or information on topics that may be useful to visitors to the Council’s Web Site, and the Council has no control over the content on such linked sites (or any link contained in a linked site). The BC Forest Safety Council ("The Council" or "we") knows that you care how information about you is used and shared, and we appreciate your trust that we will do so carefully and sensibly. This statement describes our privacy policy. By visiting bcforestsafe.ca, you are accepting the practices described in this Privacy Statement.

What information do we gather and how is it used?
The Council collects information from our users at several different points on this web site: Users to the public areas of the Council’s web site browse anonymously. However, the Council web server does collect aggregate data, such as number of access attempts by page. The Council may collect information ("Personal Information") from you before allowing access to certain resources and personalization features on the site, or to order products and services. Generally, when Personal Information is collected, it is used by the Council to improve web content; to respond to visitors' interests, needs and preferences; and to develop new products and services. The Council does not share Personal Information with any third parties except that the Council may share such information with its subsidiaries and affiliated organizations. Third party vendors providing services in connection with this web site may have access to Personal Information. It is the Council’s policy to require such vendors to hold Personal Information in strict confidence.

Cookies

The Council uses both session and persistent cookies to facilitate, track and limit automated activity, and to assist in the collection of site visitation statistics. Log Files
Like most standard web site servers we use log files. This includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track user’s movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses, etc. are not linked to personally identifiable information.

Opting Out and Correcting Personal Information

Notification of Changes
If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes to this Privacy Statement, the homepage, and other places we deem appropriate so our users are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it. We will use information in accordance with the privacy policy under which the information was collected.

If, however, we are going to use users’ Personal Information in a manner different from that stated at the time of collection we will notify users via email. Users will have a choice as to whether or not we use their Personal Information in this different manner. Return Policy
• Requests for returns or refunds must be made in writing
• Returns and refunds are allowed for damaged or defective products
• Returns for products in saleable condition with original packaging can be made for in-store credit only.
• No returns or refunds after 45 days.
